EPC Energy Performance Certificates in Cambridgeshire

The Energy Performance Certificate or EPC is now fully established as part of HIPs (Home Information Packs) in England and Wales. When selling a home the energy certificate is incorporated into the documents as part of the Home Information Pack.

At present many homeowners do not have much interest in the EPC, however, in recent times, with increasing energy costs, potential home buyers and tenants looking for property to let have been taking more interest in the EPC, as the certificate does provide projected costs for the home with respect to heating, hot water and lighting on an annual basis.

These costs can help assist the potential purchaser or tenant to make an informed decision when considering the costs for running a home.

In addition, landlords and home sellers are sometimes unaware of the "added value" that the Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) can provide, for example free energy advice and tips to improve the property SAP Rating which in the longer term can reduce energy costs for the consumer.

Independent Domestic Energy Assessors can provide this assistance during the survey of the property. Local energy assessors are availble in all regions of the UK and can often provide their service at very competitive rates when dealing direct with the home seller or landlord seeking an EPC for Property Rental.

A specialised directory is available to help homeowners and property professional alike, to find independent home energy inspectors.

The following links for your local DEA or Home Inspector that is qualified to issue an EPC is available:
